Changes are coming. Luke is quitting work in a month cutting our income drastically. He is also starting school again. I will take on the responsiblity of financial support for our family and will also juggle being a new mom. With this looming in our future, we planned one last "because we can" moment. Spontaneously we took off for Vegas. We splurged on a suite at the Venetian and bought the best seats in the theater for the Bellagio Cirque Du Soleil "O" show. The show was AMAZING!!! If you ever have the chance to see any Cirque shows, I'd highly recommend it! Incredible. It was so nice to spend hours in the car with Luke and just talk. We have such good conversations. I think that was my favorite part of the trip.
To clarify. Luke is attending the BYU MBA program which begins in August. We are expecting our first baby; a girl. We are due Oct. 11th.

It's so nice that you were able to have one last trip before that little one gets here. Can't wait!! I really, really need to see one of those Cirque shows now!
congrats jess!! paul and i are starting to have the 'how do we make it on one income in dc?' talks... drastic changes coming indeed. good for you for having a hurrah.
i'm SO excited for you and your baby girl! october is so soon!! we're due with an unknown gendered little apple (we find out the 31st) in december. i hope you're feeling great. that's one lucky little girl:)
Jessica, Jessica, Jessica: WHERE HAVE I BEEN??? Congratulations!! I didn't know you were pregnant! How exciting! And wouldn't you know, I'm coming back to UT October 16th. So if you don't go over your due date, and you feel like hanging out with a bunch of girls from PGHS like 48 hours after you've pushed a watermelon out from between your legs, I'll get to meet the little sweetie! I hope I get to!!
Jess! So excited for you! I didn't know officially that you are pregnant, until I saw the post from the race. What a cute pregnant momma! Girls are SO much fun to shop for. Accessories, accessories. Loved Sylvia's post. What a great image of the birth of your baby!
