I've always felt a sense of pride being from Lindon. When I was in my teens and people would ask where I was from and I would say Lindon, they would reply "Oh, Pleasant Grove" I would correct them "Lindon". Today was Lindon Days and it was reaffirmed to me why I love it.
Reasons being:
- The parade consisted mostly of ward and stake entries and had more people in the parade than watching.
- I recognized and know both the mayor and the grand marshals of the parade.
- Its a town where everyone knows everyone, at least if your family lived in Lindon back when there was only one stake.
- If I ever go on a run anywhere in the city, a few days later my Mom tells me that so-and-so saw me running the other day.
- Most of the main city does not have sidewalks we have horse trails.
- We now have the most rockin pool in the county.
- If I ever go to Allen's Grocery Store it is a guarantee that I will run into an old ward member.
Lindon recently got put into the top 100 of America's best small towns so now the secret is out!

There was free face painting for kids.

There was also a cute Home Depot booth where kids could build bird houses, helicopters, tool boxes, etc which was also free.
