This little 16lbs 24inch human has command of our life. When and if we sleep, when we eat, if and where we go out. Life now revolves around her.

She dictates when Luke baths.... "yep it is time to wash your hair"




"you want to play fetch Kyah? Nope, I am going to use you as my recliner and play with your whiskers, now hold still"





But all she has to do is flash us a gummy smile and we are putty in her hands!

over the holidays

The dust has settled, the holidays are over. Now that I've had time to get things back in order I am finally getting around to updating some pictures.

Our new family picture Amie was kind enough to take.


Halloween with all of the grandchildren. Lilly was a punk fairy, Ava and Eli were spiderman and spidergirl, and Amylia was a lady bug.


She normally hates being her carseat. So we had to capture her looking content.


Amie Jo came home for Thanksgiving and got to meet her first niece. It seemed like the two hit it off.


As a gift for both sets of grandparents, I took some pictures of the babe.



Since she was the youngest she got to play baby Jesus in both Nativity plays at the Cook's and Colledge's.

We blessed her the Sunday following Christmas. She wore the same dress I was blessed in!

Amylia Ann

Amylia today is a month old! Time flies when your at home for a month attending to a newborn's needs. Anyways I am finally posting some pictures of our sweet baby.

September

I've been slacking with blogging. It's been a busy month with Luke starting school, dealing with crazy brides and mother's of the bride, and preparing for the arrival of our baby.

New Lawn
We have been working on our yard for 2+ years. We built a rock wall, installed an iron fence, installed a sprinkler system, and finally the moment we've been waiting for laid sod. Both the Cook's and the Colledge's combined muscles and we were able to get it done in one night. Thanks for all the great help!





Homecoming
I have not been back to the old stomping ground for over 11 years! The Vikings have a great football team this year and for Homecoming Luke and I joined Jamie and friends for the game. Jamie took the great picture of the flag.





My Birthday
The Cook's and Colledge's combined again to throw a raging birthday party. Luke gave me the lense I've wanted which I tried out and took pictures of Lily and Jared's dog Cache. Another highlight, the Cook's got me a snuggie which I immediately had to try on.






Cabin

We went to the family cabin a few weekends ago. It is so peaceful; quiet; and the trees are starting to change colors. We went on a little hike above the cabin and the sun was setting perfect to do silhouette pictures. Ava holding my hand with the pregnancy belly.

I am consistently impressed with her. The list could go on forever, but some of the things I love about her:
- She will drop whatever she is doing to help you
- She has an intuition to call/ stop by/ leave a card when you need a friend the most
- She has a way of making you feel like your important
- I can always expect to laugh a lot when I'm with her
- I am amazed at how she comes up with the cutest crafts or home decorating ideas.
- She is incredibly talented, she can do ANYTHING
- I know I can bring anyone along with me when I'm hanging out with Jamie because she goes out of her way to make them feel comfortable
- She is always thinking of others
- She is a great Mom
- I would never describe her as flaky, she is very dependable
- Just by being with her makes me want to be a better/kinder person

I really could go on about her, she really is a great person and I'm so lucky to have a friend like her!
