Team Sweetness

Team Sweetness freakin rocked it out yesterday! From Logan to Park City we busted out 180 miles running, sweating, crying, some of us lost our marbles (Lindsey between the hours of 2am to 5am), getting covered by dust, running in almost 100-degree temps, clawing our way up mountains, attempting to sleep on a high school hardwood floor, attempting to sleep at all, soaking in hot-tubs (the boys), becoming best friends with the honey buckets(aka port-a-potty),and traversing some of the most beautiful scenery in Utah. It was a great adventure and one of the funnest times I've had!

Putting together a wedding in a week

Karlena, bless her heart, announced on Wednesday that she was going to get married the following Thursday. I know we have connections in the wedding biz, but really putting a wedding together in a week? We did it. The following pictures are proof that you really can do a wedding with limited time and a limited budget.

The families were gathered...

Lily and Isabah scattered rose petals...

Dad walked her down the aisle...

She officially became Mrs. Smith

We had a full Hawaiian buffet complete with Hawaiian dancers

They cut the cake...

And could not stop smiling the entire night! A success!
For those of you who requested, this is a picture of the cake. I attempted fondant, and I think it came out okay. No Cakes by Dawna by any means, but for a free cake not half bad. Also a special shout out to Jamie for help with the wedding flowers! You are amazing Jamie! Thanks again!

5K Run for Ryan Cox

This is posted on Ryan's memorial blog. You can link over to his blog from mine for more information or I just copied all of the information below. We should get a group together to participate in support of the Cox's.

5K Run For Ryan
There is going to be a fun run honoring Ryan on Memorial Day, which is Mon. May 26th. All of the donations and proceeds will go to benefit Katie and the girls. You can either run the 5K or the 1 mile. The 5K is $15 and the 1 mile is $10. If your family wants to run it together the cost is $50 for a family of 4 under the ages of 18. The run is in American Fork it starts at the Rec. center at 8:00am. It is easiest to do early registration at 26.2 running store (100N. 100E. AF) You can also do same day registration but it will cost $5 more. Same day registration ends at 7:30am. We want to get as many people to run as possible so please spread the word! Also if you want to or know anyone who would like to donate money, prizes or sponsor the event let us know. It would be greatly appreciated. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!!

Dwight, is that you?

A local graffiti artist put their talent to good use by giving me the joy of seeing Dwight Kurt Schrute II immortalized on an electrical box on an Orem back road.

I also found the missing monkey, Jack, posting, complete with a detailed drawing, equally as entertaining.

Does this strike anyone else as random?
